PEACE CORPS SELECTS INFORELIANCE TO PROVIDE SYSTEM CENTER CONFIGURATION MANAGER SUPPORT
InfoReliance utilizes Microsoft partnership status to help U.S. Peace Corps meet its mission
FAIRFAX, Va., September 26, 2013–InfoReliance has been awarded its first contract from the US Peace Corps to provide Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager support to manage desktop computing services worldwide for the organization. Because of their cyber security expertise, InfoReliance has been selected to implement a secure environment for information sharing across 67 Peace Corps posts in three regions of the world.
InfoReliance will be deploying Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager, Operations Manager, Service Manager, and Orchestrator to support: antivirus and patching; asset management tracking; change management; end-user request/trouble ticket tracking; and proactive IT environment management through appropriate/meaningful alerting. This deployment will give the client visibility into system upgrade/patching status and provide the Peace Corps with the flexibility and ability to administer system updates from a central location.
The Peace Corps has been a leader in international development and citizen diplomacy for more than 50 years across more than 139 countries. Jay Dennis, InfoReliance Division Director-Civilian adds, “we are excited to connect multiple worldwide posts to support the mission and efforts of the Peace Corps and hope that this contract marks the beginning of a lasting partnership.”
InfoReliance will leverage its Microsoft partnership and IT integration expertise to provide the Peace Corps with more effective, secure IT services that will allow them to scale software deployment to suit their needs, manage compliance settings, and perform comprehensive asset management of servers, desktops, laptops, and mobile devices. The ability to complete these tasks for the geographically dispersed from one central location will enable the Peace Corp to share information between its posts more readily and allow them to focus on meeting mission needs.
