InfoReliance Continues to Expand U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Management System
FAIRFAX, Va. – The U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) has selected InfoReliance, a leading information technology (IT) consulting firm, to provide support for drill accounting and to develop additional reserve management capabilities. The awarded contract is valued at $7.2 million. InfoReliance has been dedicated to supporting the Marines for over 11 years with innovative IT solutions.
The Total Force Administration System Drill Management Module (TFAS-DMM) has transformed drill accounting from manually intensive, paper-based process to a robust enterprise software system. Drill Manager automates the allocation, mustering, management, reporting, and payment of over 1 million drills per year with total transparency and frees time for units to train for real world missions. Drill Manager serves over 40,000 Marine Corps Reservists in two distinct communities, Select Marine Corps Reserves (SMCR) and Individual Mobilization Augmentees (IMA), geographically disbursed in over 200 locations worldwide.
InfoReliance began developing Drill Manager for the USMC in 2007. Due to the company’s strong past performance and innovative solutions, the USMC has selected InfoReliance to continue to manage, maintain, and enhance the system under this new contract with a one year base period and two one year options. InfoReliance plans to develop new capabilities for Drill Manager and to integrate two new modules into a comprehensive Reserve Management System. The Marine Corps Entitlement Data System (MCMEDS) module will enable units to securely transmit requests for medical entitlements and incapacitation pay. The Reserve Transition and Manpower Management Reserve System (RTAMMRS) module will be a human capital management system for commanders, recruiters, career planners, and individual Marines.
“InfoReliance greatly appreciates the continued confidence the Marine Corps has shown in us,” states Joseph Zimmerman, InfoReliance Vice President, Department of Defense Sector, “TFAS DMM has revolutionized drill accounting and allowed Marines to focus on mission training instead of administrative processes.”
