The Department of Health and Human Services Awards Cloud Services BPA to InfoReliance
InfoReliance will deliver Microsoft Office 365 enterprise Email as a Service and Collaboration solution
FAIRFAX, Va., November 20, 2014 – InfoReliance has been awarded a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for up to $92 million over a five-year period of performance to support its move to the Microsoft cloud-based email and enterprise collaboration solution.
Under this BPA, InfoReliance will provide the solutions and services necessary for HHS to transition existing email applications and collaboration solutions to the Microsoft Office 365 Email as a Service (EaaS) solution that is hosted in a Government Community Cloud (GCC). This will result in improvements in collaboration, efficiency, agility, innovation, and cost savings.
HHS joins the vast majority of Cabinet level agencies, which, in whole or in part, have moved to Microsoft cloud computing solutions. The move to a cloud-based EaaS environment will enable HHS employees to collaborate more efficiently, allowing them to successfully meet their mission to provide the building blocks that Americans need to live healthy, successful lives. It also supports the overall agency and federal initiatives outlined in the Digital Government Strategy to improve efficiency and reduce overall operating costs, while improving citizen-facing services.
InfoReliance will leverage its own IT integration expertise, as well as its collaboration with Microsoft Corp. to deliver the most effective enterprise collaboration environment for HHS. To accomplish this, InfoReliance will deploy Microsoft Office 365 Government across the HHS enterprise. This secured and proven solution helps support the most rigorous security standards and is dedicated for U.S. Government only use. In addition, InfoReliance will ensure a seamless deployment by applying their proven approach that includes extensive user training and change management services that address the unique cultural impacts that often accompany federal IT modernization efforts. InfoReliance’s approach comes from its experience delivering cloud solutions for 16 other federal organizations to date. This experience sets InfoReliance apart as an IT consulting firm that can deliver cutting-edge cloud technology coupled with unmatched customer service for maximum efficiency and effectiveness in IT.
Commenting on the award, Eric Olson, Executive Vice President of InfoReliance said, “We are honored that HHS awarded us the opportunity to deploy world class cloud services across the HHS enterprise. We are very excited to support HHS in its move to the cloud and to help them to better serve the American people. This is a notable achievement in our five year investment in cloud services and an exciting win for our rapidly expanding Health IT practice.”
“By moving the Department of Labor and Department of Health and Human Services to the Microsoft Government Community Cloud, and by utilizing Azure Government, InfoReliance has been leading the way with customers to recognize the cost, capability and compliance benefits of the Microsoft cloud,” said Greg Myers, Vice President of Microsoft Federal. “Together we are helping customers extend more mission-critical workloads into a truly cloud-enabled enterprise designed specifically with federal agencies’ unique needs for security in mind.”
